Taekwondo, one of the most effective unarmed self defense style in the world, uses the hands and feet to combat attackers. Taekwondo originated in Korea, where it has been refined for more than 2000 years. It is now an Olympic sport and is practiced in more than 200 countries around the world.
IS IT HARD TO GET STARTED?
NOT AT ALL! All you need is enthusiasm. The instructors are experts at teaching beginners from 3 to 70 years old.
WHY PARK'S MARTIAL ARTS?
Grandmaster Park has attained 8th Degree Black Belt Hapkido, 8th Degree Black Belt Taekwondo, and 7th Degree Black Belt Kyeoktooki (Korean MMA). He has been studying Martial Arts for more than 37 years, and has 25 years of teaching experience. IS IT DANGEROUS?
Beginning students learn a complex series of non-contact individual postures and motions which are very safe. Advanced students participate in freestyle competition with full protective gear. Although there are occasional injuries in competition, advanced Taekwondo is no more dangerous than other contact sports.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BE A BLACK BELT?
A black belt signifies that its wearer has mastered Taekwondo techniques. With diligent study, a black belt can be earned in 2 1/2 to 3 years.
